The Ninja Mermaid. Hi, I’ve already done everything and nothing seems to work. I’ve disabled the virtual keyboard from the ease of access and from the settings as well. This thread is locked. On-Screen keyboard keeps popping up – Microsoft Community – If You Can, Find and Uninstall the Culprit (or Stop It From Auto-Starting)

Hello, the problem is as the title states: the On-Screen Keyboard always opens itself when I go to login. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for the reply. As per the first two items on my list of attempts to disable the on-screen keyboard, I had already tried both. The main problem appears to be that the on-screen keyboard that opens when I enter the login screen is not the same as the one opened by the osk.

Instead of opening a window with a keyboard, the keyboard moves upward from the bottom of the screen. There is no [x] button, and the keyboard closes when I begin to type, or click outside of the keyboard. Perhaps Windows has another pre-installed keyboard in addition to osk. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Windows Windows 10 Search Community member. Things I have done to stop this from happening: Turned off on-screen keyboard in settings Turned off on-screen keyboard in Control Panels Turned off osk.

If no check that one out: Also check “Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard. Its quite hidden. If you consider your problem solved it would be very good if you marked the answer which helped you so others can find and use this thread. If this didn’t solve your problem or you need further assistance please answer in this thread and i would be happy to help.

In reply to Eberwurz’s post on February 20, Check for tablet mode in the action center accessible in the bottom right corner. In reply to Eberwurz’s post on February 21, Tablet mode was not enabled, and turning tablet mode on and back off did not fix the issue. Have you come up with any other possibilities as to why this issue is occurring?

It hasn’t gone away, and I can’t find any references to others with this issue that don’t involve what I’ve already tried. This site in other languages x.
