To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Huge noob mistake here. I had no idea sample rate was even a thing. I think that’s what happened?

I unknowingly recorded audio with the interface set to 48hz into a logic file containing software instruments that is set to Everything sounds fine in session. The issue is when I bounce the file. It does not contain any audio tracks and only contains the midi sounds playing very slowly.

I’ve done hours of searching on the web and haven’t found the answer yet. Could you guys help? I’ve tried changing the sample rate in the session AND in the bounce window. No combo of the I have no idea how to fix this and I really don’t want to re-record all this audio. It’d be hours and half of it isn’t even me, I’d have to call people back over to record it again.

I’m assuming that if I changed the sample rate from 48hz to Haven’t tried that yet. Posted on Jul 7, PM. Page content loaded. Sounds fine in session, sounds wrong bounced. More Less. I have a /31676.txt issue — when I set my project’s sample rate to kHz my sound gets odd and I can’t use most of Waves plug-ins no more. So watch the video:. Short answer: Your system doesn’t have the processing power to support kHz sample rate for logic pro x sample rate issue free amp designer plugins.

There might be other plugins that won’t work either. The way I figured this out is by changing the buffer size. Increase this in steps and then playback with the Amp Designer on at kHz. You should see the audio quality get slightly and slightly better. On my system, it never sounds good and if I set the maximum buffer size it увидеть больше my system can’t handle a buffer that big.

If I set a smaller than default buffer size, the audio gets worse and eventually my system can’t sync MIDI and audio any more. So I’ve gotta use some other synthesizer for bass guitar. Have you checked the logic pro x sample rate issue free things like what the maximum sample rate is that is supported by your plugins and your interface? What if you change the sample rate, save, then close and reopen Logic?

What if you create a new session at kHz before you put anything into the session? ToddWilcox Everything works on master bus. I’ll try to change logic pro x sample rate issue free sample rate while it’s empty. ToddWilcox And Logic pro x sample rate issue free don’t use extenal audio interfaces.

KolobCanyon Pretty sure it’s user error. If you’re just using the internal посмотреть еще on a computer, Logic is just going to automatically downsample it for you and you won’t be able to record at a rate higher logic pro x sample rate issue free the hardware supports.

I see, it’s not recorded audio, it’s a virtual bass instrument. Why would you try to play back at kHz on a system that doesn’t support it? Show 5 more comments. Sorted by: Reset to default. Highest score default Date modified newest first Date created oldest first.

Ok I got it. I set up a similar Logic session and tested different things. Two points: There’s really not much point at running at kHz unless нажмите чтобы увидеть больше a professional working on a movie or video game – in which case you’d have a system that can support it. If you want to go above 48 kHz, you should really invest in a quality USB 3.

That will help with buffer sizes also. Improve this answer. Todd Wilcox Todd Wilcox I’m just trying to release my song into public.

About audio interface: Focusrite Clarett 2Pre that I have does support a logic pro x sample rate issue free sample rate for recording. Using it everything sounds much better. EugenEray Ah I was confused because in an earlier comment you wrote that you weren’t using an external interface.

You’re probably going to find that no one wants to take delivery of kHz audio anyway, so at some point logic pro x sample rate issue free have to downsample it. I wouldn’t worry too much about anything higher than 96 kHz. The only reason to keep the sample rate high during processing is to avoid aliasing in nonlinear effects distortion, limiters And anyways most decent nonlinear effect plugins have an oversampled mode or use higher-order ODE algorithms, which is generally more effective than any oversamplingso they don’t need high DAW sample rates.

Add a comment. Maybe lower sample rates are worth trying also. I’d be ready to bet you wouldn’t be able to tell apart the final rendered results of 48 kHz and kHz with these plugins. In case you’re not so into DSP, here’s an analogy: processing at kHz is like quadroupling your car’s fuel tank volume because there’s a leak somewhere. That may, in a sense, solve a problem and increase the range, but it’s totally inefficient and in principle tackles the issue at the wrong spot.

How to Fix System Overload in Logic Pro X – Followchain

The higher the sample rate, the more audio processing power is required when working on the project. CDs and many music streaming services use the rate of Some audio files in your project may not match the newly selected sample rate.

You can match the sample rate of individual audio files to the project sample rate in the Project Audio Browser. Logic Pro performs /48983.txt real-time, native sample rate conversion.

The native software sample rate conversion function matches the sample rate of any audio hardware, thereby allowing the playback of projects on virtually any audio system, even if the hardware is—in sample rate terms—not compatible. Nothing is lost in the process. This feature allows you to work on projects originally created on high-end audio systems, with lower-end setups.

For example, imagine a project was created with audio hardware set to operate at 96 kHz. The native real-time sample rate conversion function logic pro x sample rate issue free counteract this effect, allowing correct playback of the project on the portable computer, at any sample rate. Note: Higher sample rates not only use up more logic pro x sample rate issue free space, but also require more processing.
